Perhaps you’re feeling…
- You struggle with deep-in-the-bones tiredness that doesn’t seem to lift even after you’ve caught up on your sleep. You can’t remember the last time you felt truly rested.
- Your day is fuelled by anxiety as you rush from one task to the next. Or perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed and stuck, not knowing what to do first when there are so many demands on your time.
- Your busy mind won’t let you drift off to sleep or you wake up in the early hours running through your To Do list. By the time the alarm goes off, you’ve been lying awake with your body tense and your mind in a spin cycle.
- You value productivity and achievement and tend to feel lazy or guilty if you stop and rest, pushing yourself to keep going even when your mind and body are crying out for a break.
- You’re heading towards burnout: the usual things you would turn to – exercise, sleep and holidays – are no longer enough to replenish your energy.
If this sounds like you, please know that you’re not alone.
The truth is that the demands of the modern workplace and our non-stop, always-on lifestyles are at odds with how our brain and body are hard-wired to function. When I worked in a corporate organisation, I was where you are now. And, in the eight years I have worked as a Coach, the majority of my clients admit they are exhausted, depleted by the demands of life and work and wonder how long they can keep going at this pace. We can’t turn back the clock to simpler times, so what can we do? Deep rest is most effective way to replenish your energy and build resilience.
“I have a demanding job with constant interruptions and I found it difficult to switch off at home. I was never really present with my family because I was always thinking about what I needed to do the following day and it was starting to affect my sleep. Emma suggested a deep rest meditation to help me transition from work to home. I initially thought “I don’t have time for this!” but I gave it a go and I felt so much calmer afterwards. I had more energy for my family and I slept better that night too. I couldn’t believe the difference! Thank you Emma for giving me permission to stop and rest!”

What we’ll cover
Join me for a free, deep rest meditation on Friday 16 January 2026 from 12.30pm to 1.15pm GMT. During the Zoom call, I will guide you through a deep rest meditation to relax your body and calm your mind. The deep rest meditation is based on the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra, not to be confused with physical yoga poses. A Yoga Nidra meditation is not the same as Mindfulness meditation: it is completely effortless, practised lying down (or seated if you prefer) and there is no need to wrestle with a wandering mind!
A short deep-rest meditation is said to be as effective at replenishing your energy and rejuvenating your mind and body as a 3-hour nap. You will return to your day feeling refreshed, calm and with a greater sense of peace. After the session, you’ll also have the opportunity to buy a recording of the deep rest meditation to practice in your own time.
Benefits you can expect from regular deep rest practice
- A profound sense of calm and improved ability to manage stress and anxiety
- Reduced brain fog and greater mental clarity
- If you’re a high-achiever who feels guilty if you put yourself first, your productivity and creativity are greatly improved after deep-rest!
- Increased energy for the things you love and the people you love in your life
- Opportunity to catch up on sleep deficits.
